Neurologist

Dr. (Lt Gen) CS Narayanan, a distinguished neurologist, completed his DM (Neurology) at AIIMS in 1998. With 20 years of expertise in clinical services, teaching, and neurology research within the Armed Forces, he achieved the rank of Lt Gen, the highest for a medical professional. He held pivotal roles like Dy Commandant and Dean at Army Hospital (Research and Referral). Notably, he contributed to pioneering neurology programs including stroke care, epilepsy surgery, and deep brain stimulation. Recognized for his exceptional service, he received the Vishisht Sewa Medal thrice and was appointed Honorary Surgeon to the President of India. He also spearheaded initiatives integrating telemedicine and artificial intelligence in the AFMS, marking his significant impact in the medical field.
