Dr. Anirban Deep Banerjee is a distinguished neurosurgeon renowned for his expertise in Stereotactic & Functional Neurosurgery and Skull-base Neurosurgery. Formerly, he held the position of Senior Consultant in Neurosurgery and In-Charge of the Movement Disorder Clinic at the Institute of Neurosciences, Apollo Kolkata. Dr. Banerjee completed his MBBS from the University of Calcutta and a Neurosurgery residency (M.Ch.) at NIMHANS. He also earned prestigious AANS-recognized fellowships in the USA, specializing in Skull-base Neurosurgery (LA State University) and Functional Neurosurgery (Cleveland Clinic). His interests encompass various neurosurgical procedures for conditions like movement disorders, spastic disorders, psychiatric disorders, and epilepsy. With experience in over 400 neuro-modulation surgeries, including 150 Deep Brain Stimulation surgeries, Dr. Banerjee has contributed innovations to the field of skull-base neurosurgery. He is an accomplished author with publications in reputable journals and presentations at international conferences, including the 16th World Congress of Neurosurgery, WFNS 2017, in Istanbul, Turkey.
