Oncologist

Dr. Anil Kumar Anand boasts a remarkable career in the field of radiation oncology spanning over 31 years. He is an alumnus of Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana, where he completed his MBBS, followed by a specialization in MD (Radiotherapy and Oncology) from the renowned Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGI) in Chandigarh.

Dr. Anand's commitment to excellence led him to pursue specialized training in radiation therapy at the New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens. He further honed his expertise with specialized training in Radiotherapy of Head and Neck Cancers at The Middlesex Hospital Medical School in London.

Before joining FMRI, Gurugram, Dr. Anand made significant contributions to the field of radiation oncology. He served as the Principal Director of Radiation Oncology at Max Hospital, Saket, since 2009. His career has also included roles at prestigious organizations such as the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, Batra Hospital and Medical Research Center in New Delhi, and PGI Chandigarh.

Dr. Anand is an accomplished author with multiple scientific publications to his name. His research interests extend to innovative approaches such as Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) in recurrent head and neck cancers.

He maintains active memberships in professional organizations including the Indian Society of Oncology, American Society of Radiation Oncology, and the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India. Dr. Anand also contributes his expertise as an advisor to scientific bodies such as the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP), the World Health Organization (WHO), and other United Nations organizations. He is a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Cancer Research and Therapeutics.
