Dr. (Prof) Gourdas Choudhuri, MD, DM, FACG, FICP, FAMS, FRCPI, holds the prestigious position of Director & HOD of the Department of Gastroenterology Hepatobiliary Sciences at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram. He is a prominent figure in the field of gastroenterology and is renowned as a medical educator, researcher, columnist, and philanthropist. Dr. Choudhuri received his training at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi.

Dr. Choudhuri is a trailblazer in the field of gastroenterology and introduced innovations such as Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) and Extra Corporeal Shockwave Biliary Lithotripsy (ESWL) in India. His leadership at the department of Gastroenterology at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, helped it become one of the top institutions in the country.
