Oncologist

Dr. Vinod Raina is a distinguished figure in the field of Medical Oncology in India, boasting over 40 years of invaluable experience. He has made significant contributions to cancer care and research throughout his illustrious career. Dr. Raina held the prestigious position of Professor and Head of Medical Oncology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.

His expertise spans a wide range of cancer specialties, including Breast, Lung, Gastrointestinal, Urological, Gynecological cancers, Lymphomas, and Myelomas. Notably, Dr. Raina has personally conducted around 400 bone marrow and stem cell transplants for various types of cancer, showcasing his proficiency in this critical area.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Raina is an accomplished researcher and has served as the Principal Investigator for approximately 50 projects during his 24-year tenure at AIIMS. He also played a pivotal role in co-founding the INDOX network, contributing to advancements in oncology research and collaboration.

Dr. Raina's dedication to education and mentorship is evident in the success of the nearly 70 residents and DM students he has guided, many of whom have gone on to hold prominent positions in India and abroad. Currently, as the Chairperson of Oncosciences at Fortis Healthcare, he continues to lead in the fight against cancer, specializing in various adult cancers and championing advancements in cancer care and research.
